Preparation and characterization of micro components fabricated by micro powder injection molding

► Micro components with two set of microsize structures are fabricated. ► Linear shrinkage rate reaches the maximum at 1180 °C. ► The dense layer yields lower microindentation hardness than the substructure. ► Densification is promoted with size reduction of sintering body. ► The oxides and internal gas pressure cause the difference.
