Effect of Zr on super-elasticity and mechanical properties of Ti-24Â at% Nb-(0, 2, 4)Â at% Zr alloy subjected to aging treatment

► Zr inhibits ω phase during aging, and then influences related properties. ► Deformation modes are transformed by addition of Zr and isothermal ω phase. ► Isothermal ω phase exhibits benefits to improve super-elasticity. ► Desirable properties are obtained in aged Ti-Nb-Zr alloys with suitable Zr content.
