Power law Kohn anomalies and the excitonic transition in graphene

► We discuss the relation between power law behavior and the excitonic transition in graphene. ► We obtain the exponent for the mass susceptibility as 1−β/βc. ► We predict a power law Kohn anomaly for the A1 phonon at the K point.
