Comparison of ZrB2-ZrO2f ceramics prepared by hot pressing and pressureless sintering

► Zirconia fiber was used as reinforcing phase. ► The effect of different sintering technique was investigated. ► The flexural strength and fracture toughness reached 633 MPa and 5.6 MPa·m1/2, respectively. ► The hot pressing process was more suitable for preparing ZrB2-ZrO2f ceramics.
