Porous CoMn2O4 microspheres as advanced pseudocapacitive materials

• We firstly report the fabrication of porous CoMn2O4 microspheres.
• The synthesis method is cost-effective for the large scale application.
• CoMn2O4 microsphere electrodes exhibit high specific capacitance.

A facile co-precipitation and annealing method for the growth of porous CoMn2O4 microspheres is presented. Serving as a supercapacitor electrode, the CoMn2O4 microsphere possesses a remarkable specific capacitance (788 F g−1 at the current density of 1 A g−1), which hold great promise for use as electrochemical energy storage.
