In this research, ZnO nanoparticles and flower-like nanostructures were obtained via novel methods named non-sonoelectrooxidation and sonoelectrooxidation. The mechanism of particles' formation is based on the reduction of metal ions coming from a sacrificial anode, in the presence of an amine which acts as a supporting electrolyte and electrostatic stabilizer. The products were examined by XRD, SEM, FTIR, and UV–visible. The results confirmed that the as-prepared samples have hexagonal phase, and their mean size decreases with increasing the solution temperature. It is also observed that when the solution was irradiated by ultrasonic wave the products tend to form flower-like nanostructures.
