Fast functionalization of vertically aligned multiwalled carbon nanotubes using oxygen plasma

► A fast functionalization of aligned multiwalled carbon nanotubes is presented. ► Pulsed-DC oxygen plasma treatment was used as technique. ► The superhydrophilicity was obtained after only 2 min. ► It is very important to application as microfluidic devices and nanobiomaterials.
