Surfactant-assisted hydrothermal synthesis and characterization of WS2 nanorods

► Developed a facile surfactant-assisted hydrothermal method to synthesis novel WS2 nanorods. ► The size of the nanorods is about 20-100 nm in diameters and lengths of about 0.1-2 μm. ► Surfactant CTAB has a great effect on the morphology of the WS2 nanorods.
