Magnetically affected texture and grain structure development in titanium

The recrystallization of 75% cold rolled α-titanium sheet at 750 °C is effectively influenced by a magnetic field of 19.4 T. Analysis of individual orientation data reveals that the observed asymmetrical texture is due to the drastic difference in grain numbers between individual texture components.
