Mechanical properties of Inconel 625 cold-sprayed coatings after laser remelting. Depth sensing indentation analysis

► CS is suitable to process Inconel 625 coatings with H higher than the bulk alloy. ► Laser glazing reduces interconnected porosity in the coatings increasing E. ► The laser remelted samples exhibit a dendritic microstructure which reduces H. ► H is less reduced as the laser treatment is more energetic. ► The substrate could be affected in the most energetic conditions.
