PVDF surfaces with stable superhydrophobicity

► Rough surfaces on PVDF substrates were prepared by a simple grinding method. ► The surfaces were modified by fluorinated silane without any activation process. ► The superhydrophobicity is stable in aqueous solutions with a wide pH range. ► The superhydrophobic surfaces show excellent stability in various environments.
