Evaluation of aluminum coatings in simulated marine environment

► Aluminum coatings have been realized on steel substrates. ► Heat treatments of the Al coatings were performed in air. ► EDS analysis is performed on the interface. ► At the interface two compounds are formed: FeAl and Fe2Al5. ► Aluminum coatings have a good resistance to corrosion in simulated sea water between 200 and 400 °C.
