Oxidation behavior of IN738LC in situ deposited with SiO2 during a burner rig test

► Silica was in situ deposited on IN738LC and tested for its oxidation behavior during a burner rig test. ► The deposited silica layer was compacter at the higher surface temperature. ► Preferred oxidation of Al over Cr was observed underneath a compact silica layer.
