Effect of substrate temperature on the splat formation of flame sprayed polypropylene

► Substrate temperature has an effect on splat morphology of PP using flame spray. ► The size of disk-like splats was increased with increasing substrate temperature. ► Increasing the substrate temperature from RT to 170 °C improves splat adhesion. ► Degree of crystallinity of the PP droplet rises with increasing substrate temperature.
