Effect of pulse current on microstructure and wear resistance of Stellite6/tungsten carbide claddings produced by tungsten inert gas process

►Pulsed current processing resulted in finer structures and lower dilution levels. ►Increasing in current levels resulted in higher dilution and lower hardness. ►Different solidification modes are found with increased in weight fraction of WC. ►The microstructure of claddings specimens consists of Co-rich and eutectic phase. ►The higher content of WC cause to increase wear resistance of cladding layers.
