Formation and field emission of patterned zinc oxide-adhering graphene cathodes

► Large scale ZnO-adhering patterned graphene cathode was fabricated. ► Simple solution process was used. ► Excellent field emission can be achieved due to the extraction of graphene edges. ► The presence of ZnO film improves the uniformity and long-time stability.
