Transmutation of the radiotoxic isotope 99Tc under irradiation in the BR2 high flux reactor

► Technetium transmutation rate in the high flux reactor BR2 was evaluated. ► The calculation was performed using ChainSolver 2.34 code. ► For 110 irradiation days (70MWth), the transmutation yield is ∼ 13.17%. ► When BR2 is operating at 100MWth the transmutation rate is estimated to 47.25%.
