A statistically-engineered approach for assessing ageing effects on thermal-hydraulic elements for CANDU reactors

► We developed a method to assess ageing effects for CANDU reactors. ► A degradation model for the ageing elements was developed. ► In addition, a preliminary analysis of Wolsong Unit 2 has been done. ► The results show that the PCT during LBLOCA was higher than that of the baseline. ► It means that the safety margin of PCT was decreased by 21.4 K during LBLOCA.
