Efficiencies of power flash cycles

► PFC delivers work by a flash expansion of a pressurized boiling liquid. ► Working fluids studied are water, aromates, siloxanes, and alkanes. ► Model results for five different temperature intervals are presented. ► At high temperatures water has highest power production and small volume flows. ► At low temperatures cyclopentane has high power production and small volume flows.
