An optimal hybrid model for atomic power generation prediction in Japan

► We use three approaches to develop optimal grey prediction model. ► ES method is used to find weighting in time series data. ► Taylor approximation method is used to optimize parameters of ESGM(1,1). ► Compensation approach based Markov chain model is employed to enhance prediction power. ► Prediction result in atomic power generation prediction is satisfactory.
