Dynamical characterization of the last prolonged solar minima

► We have revisited the planetary hypothesis of the solar cycle. ► We present new results on Sun barycentric dynamics. ► We have linked the three last prolonged minima using impulsive accelerations. ► We put this on physical grounds using a new theory of Sun-planets interaction. ► We propose a dynamical characterization of particular prolonged minima.
