Characterization of optical absorption and photovoltaic properties of silicon wire solar cells with different aspect ratio

►Silicon wire solar cell performance was affected by the wire aspect ratio. ►The etched silicon wire results in increased surface recombination. ►Surface recombination was reduced by AZO films. ►Optimization of silicon wire and AZO coating is necessary.
