► We study the effect of boron on the Band gap energies of BGaAs alloys. ► The gap energy of BGaAs decrease when increasing the boron composition. ► We determine the absorption spectrum of BGaAs alloys. ► We determine the thermal conductivity of BGaAs alloys.
