Influence of the e-beam irradiation and photo-oxidation aging on the structure and properties of LDPE-OMMT nanocomposite films

► This study is justified by the possibility to use radiation for sterilization in food packaging. ► LDPE and LDPE/OMMT films were subjected to e-beam irradiation at different doses. ► Further, the photo-oxidation aging of both unfilled and nanofilled films was investigated. ► A synergic effect of both OMMT loading and e-beam on the reduction of resistance was observed.
