The absorption spectra of the hydrated electron in concentrated LiCl, LiClO4, Li2SO4, MgCl2 and Mg(ClO4)2 deuterated water solutions were measured by pulse radiolysis techniques from room temperature to 300 °C at a constant pressure of 25 MPa. With increasing temperature, the absorption band of the solvated electron for all solutions shifts to larger wavelengths. Whatever the temperature, shifts to shorter wavelengths of the absorption spectrum were observed as salt effects. The results on the shape and broadening of the absorption spectrum are discussed.
