Peculiarities of the photon emissions from the 5p2Pj3 states of electron-impact-exited indium ion

Electron-impact-induced emission spectra of the radiative transitions from the shifted 5p2P0,1,23 levels to the 5s5pP103 level of In+ ion have been studied in the energy range 9-30eV by a VUV-spectroscopic method using a crossed electron and ion beam technique. Strong resonance features were observed in the energy dependence of the emission cross-sections. The structures below the excitation thresholds for the shifted 5p2(P0,1,23) levels are due to the radiative transitions between the autoionizing In5p2**(P0,1,23)nl and In5s5p**(P103)nl states in the process of dielectronic recombination i.e. they are due to dielectronic satellites. The radiative transitions from the shifted 5p2P0,1,23 levels are the effective channel of population of the 5s5pP103 level in In+ ion.
