Acoustic waves guided by the intersection of a surface and an interface of two elastic media

► A new type of non-dispersive guided acoustic waves has been found. ► These waves propagate at the intersection of a surface and an interface. ► We have determined their range of existence in parameter space for Poisson media. ► We have found this existence range to be much smaller than that of Stoneley waves. ► The velocity and displacement field of these waves has been analysed.
