Effect of dietary fenugreek seeds on biliary proteins that influence nucleation of cholesterol crystals in bile

▶ Fenugreek seeds exert antilithogenic effect by modulating cholesterol homeostasis. ▶ Here, we evidence that dietary fenugreek also beneficially modulate biliary proteins. ▶ Dietary fenugreek alters the amounts of LMW and HMW proteins secreted into bile. ▶ Their ability to promote/delay nucleation of cholesterol in model bile was studied.
