Hypercorticisme d’origine hypophysaire secondaire à une surrénalectomie chez un chien

RésuméUn hypercorticisme lié à une tumeur surrénalienne sécrétante (syndrome de Cushing) est diagnostiqué chez une chienne Braque allemand de huit ans. Suite à la surrénalectomie, une rémission transitoire des symptômes d’hypercorticisme est observée durant les premiers mois postopératoires mais une récidive est observée. Un hypercorticisme d’origine hypophysaire (maladie de Cushing) est alors identifié. La survenue de deux syndromes de Cushing d’origines différentes chez un même animal est rare. La discussion présentée reprend la démarche diagnostique mise en œuvre afin d’exclure une erreur sur le diagnostic éthiopathogénique des deux syndromes d’hypercorticisme ou leur possible dépendance. Les deux syndromes de Cushing décrits dans le cas présenté sont probablement indépendants.
