Honokiol reverses depressive-like behavior and decrease in brain BDNF levels induced by chronic corticosterone injections in mice

These results conclude that honokiol produces an antidepressant-like effect in CORT-induced depression, which is possibly mediated by increasing BDNF expression in the hippocampus.
