Effects of prenatal and postnatal exposure to amitraz on norepinephrine, serotonin and dopamine levels in brain regions of male and female rats

► Effects of maternal exposure to amitraz in 60-day-old offspring rats were examined. ► Brain region levels of NE, DA and 5-HT and its metabolites were determined. ► Changes in the monoamine content and metabolism were observed. ► Our findings support the idea that amitraz is neurotoxic in the developing brain.
