There is evidence of the reliability and validity of the self-report as a source of useful, valid information on technical aspects related to the diagnosis of some generally chronic diseases, the performance of some cancer screening procedures and the application of some therapeutic modalities for breast cancer treatment. No studies on self-report were found to be reliable and valid for assessing the quality of care in physiotherapy.
