Stage libéral pour les étudiants en kinésithérapie : une étape cruciale à franchir

The following paper is about the setting-up of internships in private community-based physiotherapy offices under the 2015 reform of initial studies in physiotherapy. The reform is an advance: 80 % of physiotherapy activity takes place in private community-based offices, and integrating this setting in initial training can only be for the good. If the principle is well established, many points remain to be settled to ensure safe and effective implementation. The main issue is the trainer: what professional level? - what responsibility? - what payment? These training periods will contribute greatly to students' knowledge of the job, and administrative problems (management of trainers) and financial worries (payment) must not be allowed to limit effectiveness. The Paris region health professionals' union (URPS IDF) has been and still is a source of ideas, and it is more generally at a regional level that new initiatives should arise, putting the finishing touches to the national reform.
