Hörsturz bei einem Kind nach Beginn einer kieferorthopädischen Behandlung

A 12 year old girl suffered from acute hearing loss on all frequencies after bionator treatment. Additional force on the already affected Os temporale damaged the Nervus cochlearis, presumably by disturbing the perfusion. The subsequent osteopathic treatment was based on the principles of osteopathy and was carried out in cooperation with the orthodontist in charge. After two treatments the hearing was restored completely.
