Achalazja przełyku u dzieci - doświadczenia własne na podstawie opisu 6 przypadków

Six cases of achalasia in children aged from 3 to 18 years (4 girls/2 boys) are described. Among clinical symptoms the most prevalent were dysphagia (83.3%), vomiting (83.3%), malnutrition (50.0%), respiratory infections (50.0%). Diagnosis was based on x-ray contrast study, manometry and endoscopy. All of the children were treated surgically by cardiomyotomy of the lower esophageal sphincter using the Heller method with fundoplication, with a favorable outcome.
