In Cracow population, during the last 55 years, no definite acceleration of the eruption of permanent dentition can be seen, however the bottom limit of the age at which the very process begins has been further lowered. There is no connection between the dental development and non-genetic factors.; the process is predominantly genetically determined, therefore it seems justified that no inter-generation changes are observed in this respect.
