Approche actuelle dans l'étude des troubles du rachis des infirmes moteurs cérébraux

We present a brief review of advances in spinal disorders since the 1980s and a new review of the topic. In addition to the clinical approach and a discussion of the pathogenic features of spinal disorders, we develop early preventive and therapeutic measures where the infrapelvic muscles play an important role in pelvic orientation and spinal curvatures. An analysis of the cerebral motor disorders leading to pathological contractions as well as technical advances make it possible to fashion more adapted seats, weight-bearing gutters and corsets. The nature and degree of muscle contractions or postural insufficiency must be carefully analyzed to enable a prognostic approach to spinal disorders.
