Positionnement assis du patient atteint de paralysie cérébrale au fauteuil : quelques lignes directrices

Cerebral palsy is the leading cause of motor disability in young children. It results in a complex postural syndrome. Sitting positioning in a wheelchair for these young people is often complicated; it is the result of the best possible compromise between function, comfort and orthopedic protection. In France, therapists have access to many opportunities to help with posture: modular seating position and molded seats. A case study (five patients) was conducted to compare the two devices. From this study, guidelines can be drawn to assist in the recommendation of the best installation for every young person.
