Providing care for the cerebral palsy child with major motor deficits associated with significant cognitive impairment is a complex task. Caregivers struggle to find a way to exploit the recognized potential of these “limit” patients. For certain patients, the development of new technological methods, together with a simple rehabilitation strategy, has enabled positive results, even with the surprising possibility of wheel-chair autonomy for patients with a handicap formerly considered incompatible. This attractive approach is not only reproducible, as shown by several studies, but also transposable to applications with other objectives.
