Massive gastric dilatation is a common disorder in children and adults with multiple disabilities. Preventive management is the rule. The alternated posture can relieve the duodenal “fold”, removing the obstacle and allowing normal stomach emptying. Alternative posture must be performed daily in patients with gastric dilatation. This is a simple cost-effective supportive care technique which can be considered as an ethical treatment.
