Die arthroskopisch assistierte Arthrodese des oberen Sprunggelenks - eine systematische Literaturübersicht

Secondary arthritis of the ankle is a frequently observed entity and often a result of a traumatic episode or rheumatoid-related destruction. For conservative treatment-refractory arthritis ankle arthrodesis is a proven standard procedure and can be done arthroscopically assisted in selected cases. This minimally invasive technique, in reference to the bony consolidation, the complication rate and patient satisfaction, leads to comparable good results. The aim of this article is to illustrate the principle of arthroscopically assisted arthrodesis and to analyse on the basis of the available literature indications and contraindications, advantages and disadvantages as well as published results in order to determine the degree of the recommendation on the implementation of this method.
