Funktionale und ästhetische Aspekte in der individuellen silikonprothetischen Versorgung nach Amputationen im Fußbereich

The use of silicon as a material in the manufacture of individual foot prostheses has established itself in orthopedic technology during the past 10 to 15 years. The continuous development in material technology as well as the newly gained possibilities in the combination of various materials have created new opportunities for new specific and individual imbedding techniques of amputated feet stumps. The large scope of application and the resulting requirements for an adequate foundation for the amputation stump require at least the same amount of variety and individuality in prosthetic models. The following article is shows the possibilities and also the limits of care with silicon prosthetics. With regard to the respective amputation level of the foot stump as well as its quality, the individual care options as well as the constructive features are systematically shown using case studies. Please note that care with a silicon foot prostheses, often reduced due to the demands of cosmetic appearance, entails indispensable advantages versus traditional prosthetics under the assumption that a proper and correct indication has been made.

ZusammenfassungDie Verwendung von Silikon zur Herstellung individueller Fußprothesen hat sich in den zurückliegenden 10–15 Jahren in der Orthopädie-Technik etabliert.Die stete Weiterentwicklung in der Materialtechnologie sowie die hinzugewonnenen Kombinationsmöglichkeiten eröffnen Wege zu neuen spezifischen und individuellen Einbettungstechniken amputierter Fußstümpfe.Die große Indikationsbreite und die daraus resultierenden Anforderungen an eine adäquate Bettung des Amputationsstumpfes erfordern dabei mindestens ebenso vielfältige und individuelle prothetische Gestaltungsvarianten.Der folgende Beitrag soll die Möglichkeiten und Grenzen der Versorgung mit Silikon-Fußprothesen aufzeigen. Im Bezug zum jeweiligen Amputationsniveau des Fußstumpfes sowie der Stumpfbeschaffenheit, werden die einzelnen Versorgungsmöglichkeiten sowie konstruktive Besonderheiten an Fallbeispielen systematisch dargestellt.Hierbei wird deutlich, dass die oftmals auf das anspruchsvolle kosmetische Erscheinungsbild reduzierte Versorgung mit einer Silikonfußprothese bei richtiger Indikationsstellung im Vergleich zu traditionellen Prothesentechniken über unverzichtbare funktionale Vorteile verfügt.
