ZusammenfassungBei Amputationen im Bereich des Fußes und distalen Unterschenkels hat der Operateur oft mit den knappen Weichteilen zu kämpfen. Die Folge ist oft eine Amputation, welche näher an den Körper rückt, als es unbedingt notwendig wäre. Plastisch-chirurgische Deckungsverfahren sind nützlich, um so weit distal wie möglich eine belastbare Stumpfbildung zu ermöglichen. Die Kenntnis der Möglichkeiten, eine gezielte Verfahrenswahl und ihre oft interdisziplinäre Anwendung können die spätere Gehfähigkeit verbessern.
