Un faux anévrisme géant de la jonction fémoro-poplitée mimant un sarcome de la cuisse

We report a case of a 85-year-old patient who presented a pseudo-aneurysm of femoro-popliteal junction measuring 15 cm. To our knowledge, this is the first clinical observation describing a pseudo-aneurysm of this size without obvious cause. The evolution has been gradual over twelve years mimicking a thigh's sarcoma. Confirmatory diagnosis was established by magnetic imaging and angiography and the treatment was surgical exclusion of the false aneurysm with excision of the pseudo-tumor and a femoro-popliteal bypass vein graft.
