چکیده انگلیسی
⺠We present a line of evidence that document a testosterone deficiency in hypercholesterolemic male mice. ⺠Testosterone deficiency found in this study is related to modifications in the tissue (local) RAS cascade at testes level, with changes in ASAP, APB and APN activities, which suggest a role of AngIII and AngIV in the regulation of steroidogenesis. ⺠We suggest for the first time an important role for AngIV in the hypercholesterolemia-induced testicular dysfunction. ⺠We reported that tissue (local) RAS is involved in testosterone deficiency after a diet-induced hypercholesterolemia, suggesting a main role for AngIII and AngIV in the regulation of testicular steroidogenesis. ⺠Tissue RAS is involved in testosterone deficiency, suggesting a main role for Ang III and IV in the regulating of testicular steroidogenesis.
