Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty decreases levels of C-reactive protein in patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome

In patients with OSAS, UPPP appears to decrease levels of serum C-reactive protein. Surgical therapy may reduce inflammatory response in these patients.
