Nontyphoid Salmonella Infection in Heart Transplant Recipients

Nontyphoid Salmonella infection in heart transplant recipients occurred in the early posttransplant period. A significant number of patients had bloodstream infection. Although the mortality rate was high, there was no recurrence in survivors.
