Addition of Insulin to Oral Therapy in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes

The addition of insulin to oral antidiabetic therapy can improve glycemic control. Newer insulin analogs can emulate normal physiologic insulin secretion and potentially limit diabetes-related comorbidity.
