A Comparison of Two Proposed Definitions for Metabolic Syndrome in the Chinese Adult Population

The metabolic syndrome is very common in China regardless of the definition used. Prevention and treatment of the metabolic syndrome should become a public health priority to reduce the CVD-related burden in China.
