Cómo se estructuran los criterios diagnósticos avanzados en acupuntura aplicados a la reumatología

ResumenLos criterios diagnósticos avanzados (CDA) constituyen una evolución del concepto clásico de los Bi descrito en la Medicina Tradicional China. La formalización de los CDA permite aproximarnos con mayor rigor, claridad y profundidad a las patologías propias de la reumatología. Su constitución radica en diferenciar la alteración sistémica subyacente de las manifestaciones específicas articulares del dolor. Por ello, establecemos unos CDA globales y unos CDA específicos. Los CDA globales hacen hincapié en la fisiopatogenia de los trastornos internos que favorecen la aparición de los reumatismos y, sobre todo, los perpetúan: hecho característico en la cronicidad de estas enfermedades. Paralelamente, los CDA específicos se centran en identificar y definir las manifestaciones del dolor, principal motivo de consulta, en las diferentes estructuras osteomusculares afectadas. Estos CDA permiten interpretar la patología reumática, consensuar diagnósticos y optimizar la acupuntura como procedimiento médico.

Advanced diagnostic criteria (ADC) arose from the classical concept of Bi described in traditional Chinese medicine. The establishment of ADC allows rheumatological diseases to be approached with greater rigor, clarity and depth. To achieve this, the systemic alteration underlying the specific painful joint manifestations must be identified. Consequently, global and specific ADC are needed. Global ADC emphasize the physiopathogenesis of the internal alterations that encourage the development of rheumatic manifestations and, above all, their persistence, a characteristic of the chronic nature of these diseases. Specific ADC aim to identify and define the manifestations of pain –the main reason for consultations– in the distinct osteomuscular structures involved. These ADC allow interpretation of rheumatic diseases, consensus on diagnoses, and optimization of acupuncture as a medical procedure.
